Yahoo Pager
exeNotification of friends coming online, along with the ability to send instant messages, are Yahoo Pager’s main claims to fame. Very similar to Mirabilis’s ICQ program, Yahoo Pager endeavours to increase the usefulness of the Internet by putting you within immediate contact of your colleagues.
Other features include access to stock prices and information as well as notification of new email messages if you have a Yahoo Mail account. The functionality of such a program as this is not totally reliant on its features, but on the number of people you know who are using it. If you do not know anyone else using Yahoo Pager then its usefulness may not become apparent right away. However, someone always has to be the guinea pig.
